Heydar Aliyev is a well-known and loved leader not only in Azerbaijan but in the entire Turkic world. “One nation, two states” concept exquisitely expressing friendship between Turkiye and Azerbaijan belongs to him. We should strive for the continuance of this concept’s connotation from now on. In memory of Heydar Aliyev, we must try to preserve the unity and brotherly relations of the Turkic world.

Honorable Heydar Aliyev, whose death shook us all, made great efforts for the development of the region. This genius person worked hard for the implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Erzurum gas pipeline projects. We must do our best to turn these projects into reality. Turkish-Azerbaijani relations are built on such a solid foundation that no force can shake it. I am confident the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev following the path of esteemed Heydar Aliyev will make new contributions to the development of our relations.

The late Heydar Aliyev held an honorable place in Turkish and world history with his extraordinary services for the happiness and prosperity of Azerbaijan, and peace in the region and in the world.
