Heydar Aliyev is an amazing leader, capable of governing not only Azerbaijan but the entire post-Soviet space. His work for Azerbaijan deserves to be envied. We are talking about increasing production, creating industrial infrastructure, and developing the economy as a whole, as well as rising to the international level along with other countries. During Soviet times, while still a member of the Politburo, Heydar Aliyev did a lot for Azerbaijan and made it one of the five self-sufficient republics of the Soviet Union. The current economic progress of this country was possible precisely at that time and precisely thanks to the foundation laid by Heydar Aliyev. I am of the opinion that his generosity, sense of leadership, and responsibility to his people will be an example for everyone for a long time to come.

I always follow the political careers of influential personalities, and I single out W. Churchill among them. I think that among the world’s political leaders, only Heydar Aliyev can be compared with Churchill.

Remembering the times of the Soviet Union, I can say that the old traditions will be restored and all post-Soviet states will restore their former relations not from a political, but from an economic point of view. In due time, it was necessary to elect Heydar Aliyev to the post of the General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee, and not the incompetent Gorbachev, then everything would have developed according to the correct scenario.
