Despite serious internal and external problems, after gaining independence Azerbaijan achieved great success in a very short period of time. As an esteemed President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev rendered great services to Azerbaijan, our region, the Turkic world and the international community with his capable personality, insight and patriotism. Stability and peace have been established in Azerbaijan, the country is advancing along the path of democracy, independence and statehood are being strengthened day by day. Azerbaijan has a reliable place in the international world and Azerbaijan has become one of the countries most interested in the international community.
