I know Heydar Aliyev as a person, and as a leader, in two ways. Of course, one cannot create the history of the state and the people in one day, or over one period. Many generations of your people, and many leaders of your nation struggled a lot for this end. But it was precisely the fact that Heydar Aliyev raised the reputation of the republic and raised the prestige of the people in those years, the work he carried out under the conditions of that system, aroused admiration in all of us, and maybe a little envy in me. That’s it. Thanks to your care and attention, many outstandingly creative people gained wide popularity and you had a positive impact on the moral development of all the people of the former USSR.

You have inexhaustible energy, and the ability to work with people, but if needed, you are also able to take a very decisive position to achieve the goal.

We are witnesses of a historical moment because we believe that it is impossible to correctly evaluate a person or to know his worth while he is still alive. After all, it so happened that, unfortunately, for a brief moment the Azerbaijani people lost Aliyev. Everyone felt the cost of this loss, and what it meant. I am absolutely sure that such a gorgeous, experienced person with all the necessary qualities for the head of state was extremely necessary at the time of restructuring the entire society.

It is good that wise people have always given you great confidence at that very difficult time, in the midst of a conflict situation.

As a result of the foreign policy of President Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan has successfully joined the world community.

The people of Tatarstan recognize you as an outstanding statesman and public figure, and we hope that your experience and knowledge will provide the Azerbaijani people with peace and stability, civic solidarity and national unity, prosperity and economic progress.

It is difficult to properly evaluate the role of Heydar Alirza oglu in the political life of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

As a wise politician, he was able to find constructive solutions in the most difficult situations. Not only Azerbaijan, but all the countries of the post-Soviet space have lost an influential state leader.

The death of Heydar Alirza oglu disheartened the people of the Republic of Tatarstan. We share the pain of loss with the fraternal Azerbaijani people and wish peace and progress to the Republic of Azerbaijan. It will be the best monument to that remarkable person who devoted his whole life to the happiness and prosperity of his people.
