I made an official visit to Azerbaijan as a guest of the late President Heydar Aliyev. I saw with my own eyes how he loved and cared for refugees who suffered and lived in poverty. I also saw the steps taken to restore Azerbaijan.

Heydar Aliyev served his people for a long time when he was under the leadership of the Soviet Union, and then during the days of independence. He will always be remembered with gratitude.
