Undoubtedly, Heydar Aliyev will remain in the memory of the whole world as a person who saved the newly independent Republic of Azerbaijan from civil war and disintegration, opened the doors of Azerbaijan to foreign investment in the oil sector and thereby created favorable conditions for the sustainable socio-economic development of his country. The continuation of Heydar Aliyev’s policy of building a stable, economically healthy, socially just and politically pluralistic society is the greatest monument to him.
