Today is the inauguration day of Heydar Aliyev, a great friend of all Caucasian peoples. One quote says you don’t step into the same river twice. But he did it. We are happy that the Azerbaijani people have such a leader. Relations between politicians are not the one typical to ordinary people. Strong and courageous Heydar Aliyev was offended humanely, but he, like an ancient hero, came to his native land, put his hands on the gorund, gathered his strength and led his people.

Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev made a truly historic contribution to the socio-economic and cultural life of Azerbaijan and the former USSR. In Ossetia-Alania, as well as throughout Russia, they highly appreciate his role in restoring friendly, good neighborly and mutually beneficial relations between Russia and Azerbaijan under the new historical circumstances. While making the most responsible decisions, his prudent stance contributed to the strengthening of peace and stability in the South Caucasus, and advancement of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Heydar Aliyev is known in Russia, the CIS countries and other countries of the world as a wise, influential politician of international scale, playing a big role in the Caucasus.
