In memory of this great day for Azerbaijan, the AIOC has prepared a symbolic gift. We believe that this gift will be a constant source of pride and delight for both you and the people of Azerbaijan. Mr. President, a new type of rose has been selected and registered in your name forever by the International Rose Society. This rose variety has been specially bred from the original rose species dedicated to Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain. Mr. President, from today your rose will bear its own name: “President Heydar Aliyev’s Peace Rose”.
Mr. President, it is with great pleasure that we present you the official botanical photograph of your rose. 200 bushes of this rose will be delivered to Baku to be planted in the places of your choice. In addition, rose bushes will be given as a gift to all our partner companies so that “President Heydar Aliyev’s Peace Rose” will decorate the state botanical gardens of each of the countries represented in the AIOC consortium.
Mr. President, let these roses become the international symbol of independent Azerbaijan, which you founded and are the father of. Dear President, once again we congratulate you on your foresight and leadership in leading the Azerbaijani people to a bright, peaceful and prosperous future. It is very appropriate to celebrate this success on the second anniversary of the adoption of a new democratic Constitution that has secured the freedom and independence of this glorious country.
Under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan today has become a very stable country. Azerbaijan has already acquired an international and geographic-political status. All this was achieved thanks to the leadership of Heydar Aliyev. All this was achieved thanks to the oil strategy developed by the president for this country. You brought many large and influential companies of the world to Azerbaijan, which invested in Azerbaijan and revived the economy of your country.
Thanks to the leadership of Mr. President Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan has become a model of political and economic development among the republics of the former USSR. When books on the history of modern Azerbaijan’s independence are written, the name of Heydar Aliyev will be engraved in golden letters on the pages of these books.
