My visit to Baku at the invitation of our President gave me the opportunity to analyze the internal and external events related to our Motherland, to see the realities with my own eyes.
Understanding the situation in Azerbaijan is very important for us. Thank God that since last year, President Heydar Aliyev has brought smiles to the faces of our people, instilled confidence and hope in our people, society has begun to think better and listen to the voice of its conscience, and has got a chance to live peacefully. The social and political activity of President Heydar Aliyev, which attracted the attention of the whole world, won great support from the people of Azerbaijan.
Thank God President Heydar Aliyev, who had no alternative, finally took the leadership of the government in our country. Today, there is a bond between President Heydar Aliyev and the people stronger than ever.
During my stay in Azerbaijan, I saw our people to be more active and rationally thinking, having aknowledged politics more properly. I am convinced Heydar Aliyev will elevate our country to the level of the world’s advanced countries. During my stay in Baku, I observed President Heydar Aliyev and his visionary policy to be capable of creating a healthy atmosphere in the state administration. This will transfer Azerbaijan into a powerful country. My conclusion is that our people now more than ever believe in their state and incumbent government. Another conclusion I came to is that since President Heydar Aliyev, as a philosopher knows very well the historical-political consciousness and ethnogenesis of the nation, all his decisions are accepted as an action plan for the state.
In Baku, I observed how government made logically based decisions, thanks to the efforts of President Heydar Aliyev. The state policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan is aimed at establishing and protecting peace throughout the world. This policy is based on the principle of peaceful coexistence without interference in the internal affairs of other states. Heydar Aliyev was able to build Azerbaijan’s foreign policy on the principle of respect and reverence for the domestic policy of neighboring states. I would like to confirm my opinion with an example: the difficulties caused by the concept of “Whole Azerbaijan”, which is no more than utopia and romanticism, have not been forgotten. President Heydar Aliyev makes thousands of efforts to correct such mistakes of incompetent leaders before him. Every word pronounced by an authoritative politician bears a liability and can bring many troubles to the country. These transitional complications endured by our President will be inscribed in golden letters in the political history of Azerbaijan, and, in the end, the people of Azerbaijan will benefit from its results.
Like all creatures of nature, great personalities do not emerge by chance. There is a circle, an environment that grows them. Throughout history, many personalities have grown in Azerbaijan. One of them is Mr. Heydar Aliyev, who stands in the front row of great figures created over the past 70 years. The source of Heydar Aliyev’s great leadership comes from the nation. The day will come when the generations will see Heydar Aliyev fluttering like a sacred flag over the Asian continent.
Historical figures carry in their hearts many things that people expect from them. Heydar Aliyev, as a historical personality, rendered his services to the people without the people asking him for anything.
Azerbaijan also has a son, who is like Ataturk. This son and father, who spent his life serving Azerbaijan, who had no aspirations for himself, who worked 18-20 hours a day to serve humanity, who made everyone recognize his country as a unitary, democratic, independent state is Heydar Aliyev who rose to the top of international politics with his peacefulness and humanity.
Heydar Aliyev is currently fighting for the survival of civilization. The Azerbaijani war ongoing today is waged for the sake of mankind and for the happiness of the people of the East. Heydar Aliyev wants to bring people together to make them happy. Atatürk supported democracy and opposed violence. President Heydar Aliyev is following the same path, his legal measures to protect the state have nothing to do with violence. Heydar Aliyev, like Ataturk, is far from doctrinairism and is a supporter of democracy.
Heydar Aliyev considers himself to be accountable to the people. Like Atatürk, he also prevents careless management. Heydar Aliyev does not claim that “I know everything.” He tries to make all his decisions jointly with the people.
Heydar Aliyev knows how to clearly show the score of his political understanding before the whole world. Like Ataturk, he is waging a liberation war for the integrity and freedom of the nation. He firmly states that government and authority are part of the nation.
Like Ataturk, Heydar Aliyev is an internationalist, not a fundamentalist. Heydar Aliyev is an ideologist, organizer, and executor of democracy in Azerbaijan. This is the image, and one must firmly believe that President Heydar Aliyev has no alternative at all.
