Heydar Aliyev was truly remarkable, the greatest son of his nation. It is difficult to express deep respect for this man in words. I was impressed by the amazing humanity of Heydar Aliyev, his vast knowledge in any subject, and his absolutely phenomenal memory. Heydar Aliyev used to remember everything in detail about the people he communicated with. He was an outstanding personality, but the outstanding qualities of Heydar Aliyev emerged after he came to power in Azerbaijan for the second time. His whole life was devoted to one thing – that ordinary people in Azerbaijan live well and happily.

Heydar Aliyev always spoke of Russia and Moscow with great respect. Regardless of who was in power in Moscow, he spoke to these people with respect. He saw friendship, respectful and friendly neighborly relations with Russia as a guarantee of Azerbaijan’s beautiful future.
